The Sharpstown Civic Association, Inc. is a non-profit corporation, governed by a  Board of Directors consisting of between thirteen and nineteen members, who are elected by the members to serve a two-year term. Four Directors are elected as Corporate Officers for a one-year term and are responsible for the general operation of the organization. The primary services are provided by ten committees, comprised of Directors and volunteers, including architectural control, deed restriction, and safety & security.

Meetings of the Board of Directors are held on the 2nd Monday of each month (except July) at 6:30 p.m. and are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. They’re held at the BAYLAND COMMUNITY CENTER, 6400 Bissonnet. Anyone wishing to address the Board should notify the Secretary prior to the start of the meeting and they will be acknowledged for three minutes (or more as determined by the Presiding Officer). Certain discussions regarding business contracts, personnel issues, or litigation may be conducted in closed session. Agendas are posted on the Friday prior to the meeting and are available on this web site.

General membership meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month (except July and December) at 6:30 p.m. and are held at the BAYLAND COMMUNITY CENTER, 6400 Bissonnet. The November meeting is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month and is the Annual Election of Officers and Thanksgiving Feast.  In addition to normal business, the program generally consists of a featured speaker on a wide variety of topics of interest to our members. All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
